Orion noted that his past experience had affected his marriage to Lauren which he realized during the therapy session. He shared, "To have just an elevated voice in the conversation, you know? and so that was something, you know, she brought to light for me that, I was being stubborn on but in a way that was protecting myself."

Why did Orion Martzloff and Lauren G split?

'MAFS' Season 17 ex-couple, Orion Martzloff and Lauren G, met for the first time at the altar as they got married during the premiere of the Lifetime show. However, the duo failed to make it even to Decision Day, when other couples on the Lifetime reality show decide whether to remain married or get divorced eight weeks after the wedding.

Orion and Lauren decided to get divorced soon after they moved in together. Orion and Lauren had an explosive feud over their background and cultural differences before their split. He shared, before the divorce, "Jokes about each other’s background and cultures, I wouldn’t deem that okay."

Orion added, "I wouldn’t do that to you," adding, "I want to follow through with wanting a divorce." However, Orion previously confessed that he had 'lost all romantic interest in Lauren after learning she had sex with someone else two months before they walked down the aisle.

Lauren reflected on the huge fight and noted, "We were both playing defense a lot. I feel like we've been and like and I was able to recognize that quick and has made me able to just like not hold fault to you not hold fault to myself, which is really hard to not hold fault to myself in this."

She elaborated, "I've been beating myself up a lot. I think we're both gonna like grow a lot from this." She added, "I think if you can't come out of this with a successful marriage at least you can come out of this as a successful person."
