Why did Orion Martzloff and Lauren G get divorced? 'MAFS' Season 17 groom finds it 'unfair' to continue marriage
DENVER, COLORADO: 'Married At First Sight' Season 17 couples Orion Martzloff and Lauren G officially got divorced amid their relationship woes.
The ex-couple's marriage started to crumble since their honeymoon.
In the recent episode of 'MAFS', Orion opened up about the factors that led to him to request a divorce from Lauren. He also admitted, "Now I'm divorced."
Orion told his friends, "It feels strange, But you know... kind of what I have been saying is, you know, losing the romantic interest, I feel like it would be really unfair to continue on being one foot in one foot out."
However, in the previous episode, Orion demanded divorce during a therapy session after revealing that he no longer wanted to be with Lauren following their disagreements about intimacy.
He admitted, "It's just with everything that happened, everything that took place, I lost all romantic interest." Meanwhile, Lauren felt 'horrible' that she had put Orion in the "predicament to lose romantic attraction to me because through this, I have maintained my romantic attraction to you."
Orion Martzloff reflects on his family's opinion on his divorce from Lauren G
In the latest episode of 'MAFS' Season 17, Orion Martzloff met his family and revealed how they reacted to his divorce.
He revealed that his family members were 'upset about the way things have transpired' between Orion and Lauren.
However, Orion also noted that his mother and his sister were "more disappointed in the fact that I didn't get what I wanted out of this process."
Lauren G claims 'divorce' was not her choice
Lauren G also met her loved ones in the latest episode. Her dad revealed that she had lost her mom and while grieving her mother's death, Lauren also had to go through the divorce.
Notably, she admitted that divorce wasn't her choice but she supported her ex-husband Orion Martzloff's decision. She admitted, "I feel like I've been through like all the emotions at this point."
Lauren added, "You know, my favorite form of defense is humor, so I felt like I definitely attacked it with a lot of humor. And I was angry, I was sad, and then I was mad again. And then I was like, 'Okay, let me sit in these emotions.'"
Knowing that 'anger' has been a 'very surface level' emotion, Lauren explained, "I wanted to just feel all the feelings and was very uncomfortable." She added, "I think what I feel the most is just a lot of pain and a lot of resentment."
