'MAFS' Season 17 star Orion Martzloff ends his marriage with Lauren G

DENVER, COLORADO: 'Married At First Sight' Season 17 couple Orion Martzloff and Lauren G called it quits soon after they returned from their honeymoon in Mexico. However, Orion accused Lauren of their failed marriage but it was Orion who asked for the divorce.

Meanwhile, in 'MAFS' Season 17 Episode 10, Orion and Lauren meet each other for the first time after their divorce drama. They were invited to the party with other Lifetime show couples as they celebrated their first month anniversary.

Orion revealed to his co-stars, "I guess we really didn’t talk to everybody since the honeymoon, but Lauren, and I..." he added while emphasising, "'I' have decided to get a divorce."

Lauren then responded by repeating 'I' and suggested that she didn't have much of a say in their breakup. She told Orion, "I was called a failure in the marriage. You've never apologized for the way you made me feel."

She added, "You did not even apologize for calling me a failure. And that I felt in this marriage of her, not having your bag. So don’t sit here and say you’ve apologized for those words."

Orion then suggested that he didn't think that Lauren had failed. His contradicting statement left Lauren furious and she dubbed Orion a 'gaslighter.'

She also noted about their failed marriage and divorce, "and if you're not gonna hold yourself accountable, I will." However, the viewers took to social media and slammed Orion for gaslighting Lauren.

A social media user said, "Correction, Orion you failed, you failed big time you pathetic excuse for a man. Lauren was being too sweet saying you didn't fail."

Another X user tweeted, "Orion can’t take accountability for quitting! He couldn’t handle a strong secure woman! Once he knew she had sex with someone two months before! Big deal cry baby!"

Another critic noted, "I love that Lauren is outing Orion to the other couples & he needs to apologize for his mistreatment of her. She's right about him #gaslighting her everytime she turns around."

Another viewer said, "I’m happy that Lauren is calling Orion out on his b.s. He is really trying to give the narrative that he was the victim and he tried. I hope this is the last we see of him. Every time I see him on my screen..😡😡😡."

Another person penned, "I would’ve AIREDDD Orion out it I was Lauren. Not letting anything back. He definitely was gaslighting her, I think." Another internet user wrote, "The disconnect in their communication is Orion being an awful person and a gaslighter."

Orion Martzloff confesses he 'lost' romantic feelings for Lauren

Orion Martzloff confessed that he had 'lost all romantic interest' in Lauren G after learning she had s*x with someone else two months before they walked down the aisle and before they met.

During a one-on-one conversation, Orion and Lauren discussed his shifting feelings. Lauren insisted, "I feel so horrible that I’ve put you in the predicament to lose romantic attraction to me because through this, I have maintained my romantic attraction to you."

Lauren added, "But if you don’t feel like you have it in you to do it, I don’t want to twist your arm. I don’t want to force you to stay with me." However, Orion revealed that he had no desire to repair their relationship, despite their chemistry.

He noted, "There is no doubt that there is chemistry between us and when we are, you know, avoiding the big topics or trying to navigate around them." He added, "Yes, I mean, everything is great. But there is no romance within me anymore."

Lauren G is 'confused' over the reason behind her and Orion Martzloff's divorce

During 'MAFS' Season 17 Afterparty, Lauren discussed her and Orion Martzloff's divorce with host Keshia Knight Pulliam. She watched a clip of Orion telling his friend that he couldn't imagine himself dating again any time soon because he had 'a lot of genuine feelings' for Lauren and their breakup 'hurt' him.

However, Lauren was quite stunned and admitted, "It's interesting to watch Orion's side of things because I feel like I'm still confused as to why we're divorced, honestly." She then confessed that she was still confused about why Orion wanted a divorce.

She shared, "I'm still confused as to why if you're saying there are genuine feelings and I'm sitting here saying there are feelings and I'm putting in the effort, why can't you just meet me halfway?"

Lauren further noted that she was "open to having a conversation" with Orion after their breakup but her family advised her against it. She revealed, "[My brother and sister-in-law] said, 'No, you need to shut it down.'"
