'Teen Mom' alum Jenelle Evans' elusive ex lives a low-key life in NYC away from reality TV cameras
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Jenelle Evans, one of the original stars of the hit MTV reality show 'Teen Mom,' has been a familiar face on television screens for over a decade. However, viewers have been left wondering what has become of her rarely-seen ex, Andrew Lewis.
Despite being featured in the early seasons of 'Teen Mom,' Andrew has kept a low profile in recent years, choosing to distance himself from both his son Jace and the MTV cameras. In fact, he hasn't seen Jace since he was born, when Jenelle was granted full custody of their child. So where is Andrew now, and how has his life played out since the show?

Where is Andrew Lewis now?
Andrew, known for his appearance on MTV's '16 & Pregnant' as the father of Jenelle's son Jace, has been living a low-key life in New York City. The US Sun exclusively reported that he is residing in public housing in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn with his roommate and his beloved two-year-old pit bull, Boops. Andrew has been away from the MTV cameras that once followed him and Jenelle's tumultuous relationship and has not seen Jace since he was born.
In March, Jenelle was awarded custody of Jace, who is now 13 years old. He had previously lived with his grandmother, who had custody of him since he was a baby. Andrew recently revealed in an interview that he has been living in New York City for the past eight years and has been working as a chef. He started his career at the Marriott Hotel, where he worked for a long time, but he eventually left as he felt it was a dead-end job.
These days, Andrew takes on occasional shifts at an Australian restaurant in Manhattan while also working on the other side of the camera as a production assistant. He shared, "I just actually got hired again for a new sci-fi film. I just want to go and do my job. I enjoy behind the scenes more than I do being on camera." Andrew loves living in New York and considers it his home. "The city makes me feel whole," he said, adding that he thinks New Yorkers are nicer than people in the South, where he is originally from. Despite his distance from Jace and the MTV cameras, Andrew seems content with his humble life in Brooklyn and his career behind the scenes.
Why did Janelle Evan and Andrew Lewis break up?
Jenelle had a tumultuous and brief relationship with Andrew. Their two-year romance started when they met online during their high school years, which eventually led to their first in-person meeting in the December of 2007. Their relationship took a drastic turn when Jenelle gave birth to their son, Jace, in August of 2009, just a few months before Andrew decided to call it quits. In her memoir 'Read Between the Lines: From the Diary of a Teenage Mom', Jenelle shared the reasons why their relationship failed, citing Andrew’s excessive drinking habits and her own willingness to become a doormat for him. She was initially enamored with Andrew, despite the fact that he had a tendency to stay drunk most of the time. She found it fascinating, as she thought it made him appear more adult and worldly.
However, their relationship was far from perfect. Jenelle allowed Andrew to call all the shots, from dictating when they could talk to each other, to where they could go and what they could do. She described herself as a doormat, constantly waiting for him to tell her what to do. She noted that even when she informed Andrew about her pregnancy, he didn’t seem interested in being a father, but merely put on a facade to make her happy. As time went on, Andrew became more distant, eventually breaking up with Jenelle in order to pursue a modeling career in China. Sadly, he hasn't seen his son since Jace's birth and has stayed away from the MTV cameras that once followed his life. Meanwhile, Jenelle has moved on with her life, currently hosting her own podcast and raising Jace with the help of her husband and their children.
