Toby Jones serves as Supervising Director, while Paula Spence serves as Supervising Art Director, and Ryan Slater serves as Producer. The voice cast also includesWilliam Salyers, Sam Marin, Mark Hamill, Minty Lewis, and Janie Haddad Tompkins.

In his statement, JG Quintel, the creator, executive producer, and voice of Mordecai, expressed his excitement. "It reminds me a lot of the original run," he said. "It's been so much fun working with everyone on more 'Regular Show.' We're just making stuff for ourselves and trying to crack each other up. I can't wait for everyone to see it." The original show followed the adventures of Mordecai, a blue jay, and Rigby, a raccoon. The pair works as groundskeepers at a local park. They have love interests in Margaret and Eileen. Other major characters include coworkers Skips, Muscle Man, and Hi-Five Ghost, boss Benson, and park owner Pops. 'The Lost Tapes' will comprise 44 episodes.
Register also spoke about the comeback: "Thank goodness JG works harder than Mordecai and Rigby, or we might have had to wait another nine years to see these characters again. With 'Regular Show: The Lost Tapes,' JG and his incredible team have delivered the same absurd humour and genuine heart that made Regular Show a classic. We’re excited to welcome fans back to the park." Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) GM, International Kids, Animation and Franchise, Vanessa Brookman, called it a 'cultural lightning bolt.'
She added, "Its return underscores our commitment to premium animation with global appeal. With Regular Show: The Lost Tapes, JG Quintel and the team honour the original’s legacy while introducing something fresh. We’re excited to bring Mordecai, Rigby, and the gang back to audiences worldwide, while welcoming a new generation of fans." 'Regular Show' ran for eight seasons from 2010 to 2017. Per Advanced Television, it saw 2.5 million weekly US viewers in 2013 and averaged 4 million weekly across the European market. The series has also seen a dominant run on HBO Max, ranking among the top shows for kids. The outlet added that 'Regular Show' averaged 59 million monthly views last year across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
