When will 'MacGyver' Season 5 Episode 4 return on CBS? Mac and Desi's renewed relationship to be in focus
In the end, it's all well that ends well for Angus MacGyver (Lucas Till) as he not just rescued Russ Taylor (Henry Ian Cusick) after he was kidnapped, but also managed to patch things up with Desi (Levy Tran) as the duo teamed up and saved their boss. There was some high-octane action, some typical Mac smarts, and also an unexpected kiss. Not just was this a fitting way to start the renewed relationship, but for fans, it was a good end to a series that would now go on a two-week hiatus.
'MacGyver' will return next on January 8, 2021, as the series will break for Christmas and New Year. In the time slots of the next two Fridays, CBS will air reruns of the episodes of season 4. December 25 will see the opening episode of Season 4 titled, 'Fire + Ashes + Legacy = Phoenix'. The official synopsis reads: "Ex-MI6 agent Russ Taylor recruits former Phoenix Foundation members Mac, Riley, Bozer, Matty, and Desi to hunt down a bioweapon that's planned to be used by a mysterious organization for a devastating attack on a major US city."
The seventh episode of Season 4 will be rebroadcast on January 1. 'Mac + Desi + Riley + Aubrey's official synopsis reads: "A double date descends into chaos when Mac and Desi witness a murder in the back of the restaurant; as they work to find the killer, Riley tries to keep the secret about her and her friends' "day jobs' from her new boyfriend." For now, there are no new details about Season 5's Episode 4. The title 'Banh Bao + Sterno + Drill + Burner + Mason' doesn't give away much as the network is yet to reveal the official synopsis of the episode.
What we can expect is how Codex fights back and how Desi and Mac can possibly take their relationship forward. There's also that question of how Riley (Tristin Mays) would react to it in the days to come, although she does seem pretty cool about it now.
