'George & Mandy's First Marriage' Season 3 receives major update, and we are absolutely thrilled
'Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage' season 3 is happening. The series, a sequel to 'Young Sheldon', follows Georgie (Montana Jordan) and Mandy (Emily Osment) as they navigate the challenges of adulthood and marriage as they raise their young family in Texas. The series will also see Rachel Bay Jones, Will Sasso, Dougie Baldwin, and Jessie Prez star.
At the time of writing, there is no official announcement from CBS about the release of Season 3 of 'Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage'. It is safe to speculate that the new instalment will be a fall release — a slot it has held since its debut in 2024. There is no official logline yet, but with the season 2 route expected, there will be plenty of laughs and drama in the offing.
The latest comes on the back of showrunner Steve Holland weighing in on the future of the show. "Anything’s possible," he told Collider. "We haven't thought that far ahead yet, but one of the things that we liked about it is that it makes the stakes higher. Georgie has always had this drive to succeed, but now there’s a lot of pressure on him. It’s not just his future that he’s risking. It’s also his mother and his sister’s house that he’s risking. We like piling as much on Georgie’s shoulders as we can."
Previously, Raegan Revord, who appeared on both 'Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage' and 'Young Sheldon', spoke about the rift between Sheldon and his older brother, Georgie. "The whole thing in the Big Bang Theory is that Georgie and Sheldon don't talk,” Revord said, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "They kinda have a rift between them after George dies. If they are sticking to that, I feel like it wouldn't make sense for Sheldon to come back. But who knows, they have found loopholes before, maybe they’ll find them again."
Season 2 wrapped up for 2025 on Dec. 18 with a two-episode midseason finale. Titled "Payback and a Partial Shebang" and "Miami Beach and a Magical Family Christmas" aired back-to-back at 8/7c and 8:30/7:30c on CBS, and were later available for streaming live on Paramount+. New episodes return on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 8/7c along with the rest of CBS's Thursday night roster. The sitcom picks up with episode 11, marking the halfway point of the show. 11 episodes are remaining this season, before we possibly get a new update on season 3.
