When is Gabby Petito's funeral? Dad reveals date as Brian Laundrie remains at large
Gabby Petito, the bubbly 22-year-old who was found dead in Wyoming months after embarking on a cross-country trip with her boyfriend Brian Laundrie will be laid to rest soon. Her fiance Laundrie is on the run and from the looks of it, the search for him will continue till he's found dead or alive. Petito's death was deemed a homicide and while there's no evidence that Laundrie is the killer, his disappearance, behavior toward Petito when she was still alive and the wild conspiracy theories that have surfaced indeed point to him being responsible.
For those who have just begun investing their time into understanding this twisted tale of two former lovers who went missing, one was found dead and the other appears to be eluding the cops - here's what to know. Petito and Laundrie began their trip in July and they were supposed to be on the road till Halloween. Laundrie returned from the trip alone on September 1 and arrived at his parents' house after which he lawyered up immediately. Ten days after his return, Petito's mother filed a missing report and Laundrie refused to talk to cops regarding the disappearance. Three days later, Laundrie's parents said their son was missing too and a wild goose chase for him has yielded no results yet, just sightings that result in nothing. Now that Petito's body was found, her family can get a semblance of closure. People who have been following this case closely would know that the coming days will be heartbreaking for Petito's family as they plan her funeral.
