Set almost 172 years before the birth of Daenerys Targaryen, the ‘House of the Dragon’ chronicles the epic journey of House Targaryen and how internal politics brought such a strong kingdom down to its knees.

The first two episodes of the ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel laid a strong foundation and took us back to King’s Landing in the most riveting fashion. However, the third episode took things to another level as Prince Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) fought the Crab Feeder’s army alone and gave viewers one of the most amazing fight sequences in ‘GOT’ universe.

What time will ‘House of the Dragon’ Episode 5 air on HBO and HBO Max?

‘House of the Dragon’ is following the same pattern as its mother series and premieres episodes weekly. The fifth episode will be no different and will return to HBO and HBO Max at 9 pm EST, on Sunday, September 18th.

The series saw a 28% drop in viewership with Episode 3, but it shouldn’t be a matter of concern for the network because HBO Max saw a significant increase for last week’s episode. As per the report, there was a 27% increase in viewers for Episode 3 on the streaming platform compared to Episode 2 which premiered on August 28th. The third episode of ‘House of the Dragon’, titled ‘Second of His Name’, received positive reviews from everywhere and currently holds a rating of 8.9 on IMDb.

The series sees Milly Alcock playing the role of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in the show, while Matt Smith portrays Prince Daemon Targaryen. Other actors to feature in the show include Paddy Considine (King Viserys I Targaryen), Olivia Cooke/Emily Carey (Lady Alicent Hightower), Steve Toussaint (Lord Corlys Velaryon), Eve Best (Princess Rhaenys Velaryon), and Sonoya Mizuno (Mysaria).
