ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Young Capone, also known as Dopeboy Ra or RaRa, was born with the official name Rodriguez Smith. He changed his name before the release of two mixtapes in 2010.

He died recently, at the age of 35 after reportedly going missing last month. His publicist Aleesha Carter confirmed his tragic death in an Instagram post. 

Many of his fellow rappers with who he had collaborated in the past shared tributes after his death.

TI shared on Instagram on Wednesday (August 16). "Deeply saddened by the loss of an Atlanta/Trap Muzik Legend," He reacted to a statement from Grand Hustle, "Sending my sincerest condolences to his loved ones during this incredibly difficult time."

The cause of Young Capone's death and other details are still undisclosed. His death has come as another blow to the hip-hop community as everyone wished for his return when he went missing.

What is Young Capone's real name?

Young Capone was born Rodriguez Smith and became popular in Atlanta's underground hip-hop scene in the mid-2000s, People reports. 

Before changing his name to Dopeboy Ra he shared two mixtapes - 'Look Who's Back' in 2010 and 'Paper and Politics' in 2011. He was popularly known as Dopeboy Ra or RaRa by his followers.

Young Capone aka Dopeboy Ra was born in East Atlanta, Georgia in the United States. He was a rapper, record producer, and film director.

Earlier this week, news began circulating, that the Atlanta rapper is missing and was last seen in Chicago.

Following the news of the rapper's death tributes and condolences from his fans and fellow workers started pouring in from all over the world.

Young Capone's rap career and collaborations 

Yong Capone's first single came out in 2005 'I'm Hot' feat Daz Dillinger was featured on Jermaine Dupri's compilation cd Young, 'Fly & Flashy.' His second single 'What It Iz' was produced by Nitti.

Young Capone has worked on many other popular songs like 'Kiss My Ring,' 'Lights, Camera, Action,' 'I'm Hot,' 'Trap Phone,' 'Notice It,' 'Freebase Freestyle' The East Atlanta native released his album 'The Life of a Youngsta' in 2010 and a year later released 'Paper and Politics'

He was part of TI's Hustle Gang hip-hop collective appearing on their 2017 album and was featured on the collective's 2017 album 'We Want Smoke.'

Capone released his final album in December 2022 called as 'SlumMade 2.0'. Over the years Dopeboy Ra has worked with popular rappers and singers Dillinger, and Jermaine Dupri's 'So So Def Label' when he released the memorable track 'Lights, Camera, Action.'
