LA FORTUNA, COSTA RICA: As 'The Golden Bachelor' nears its end, the main guy, Gerry Turner, and his final two women still have a lot to learn about each other. In reality, the 72-year-old widower just discovered Theresa Nist's employment during their Fantasy Suite date.

Gerry and Theresa reconnected for a romantic supper after one of the most uncomfortable Fantasy Suite dates ever; they hardly communicated while horseback riding. While there, Gerry expressed an interest in learning more about Theresa's job, asking her what she does for a livelihood and when she wants to retire.

"I was a homemaker, and I did everything — cooked, cleaned, ironed," Theresa explained.

"[Then] one year, I decided to buy my first stock, and then I bought another stock, and then another one. And I actually started trading my own account, and I became a day trader."

Theresa went on to say that her late husband, Billy, approached her one day and informed her that he was paying for their health insurance out of pocket. So he begged her to obtain a job so that they could have insurance, and she agreed.

Theresa applied for a job with the firm she was trading with, adding that the procedure was "extremely difficult" because over 30 college graduates were competing for the same position. However, It was Theresa who was employed!

"I do love my job, I've always said that as long as I really didn't have a man in my life, I would continue working," Theresa told Gerry.

"But if this became something, if you gave me a reason to stop, I would stop."

Theresa worked as a manager with MetLife Securities from September 2005 until December 2015, according to her LinkedIn page. She is a senior compliance officer at TFS Securities as of March 2016.

On X, fans wrote, "Theresa: “I love you.” Gerry: “You know how I feel about you.” Lmao couldn’t even say it back! Theresa keep your job!!!" While one user asked, "Wait does Theresa think she needs to quit her job if she gets married?" 

One person wrote, "Theresa don't quit your day job for any man. Becoming a successful stockbroker later in life rules." A disappointed fan also noted, "Theresa job?? Gerry didn't know what she did for a living??"  

One person also reminded her, "don't quit your job for a man, Theresa!!" "dont quit jobs for relationships. dont do it," wrote another.

Who was 'The Golden Bachelor's Theresa Nist married to?

Theresa and William, often known as Billy, were high school sweethearts. Billy died after 42 years of marriage because his "kidneys were not good."

"One day when I was at work, he all of a sudden took a turn for the worse, and I ran home and I watched him take his last breath," she said to Gerry on their date.

"Neither one of us thought this was going to happen. We thought we were gonna live with our spouses for the rest of our lives."

Does 'The Golden Bachelor's Theresa Nist have children and grandchildren?

Tommy and Jen were Theresa and Billy's children. Tommy and Jen's families grew when they married their separate spouses.

Tommy and Jen each have three boys, and Theresa adores her grandchildren.
