LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: When it comes to post-apocalyptic shows, the first title that comes to mind is often ‘The Walking Dead’. The iconic series turned out to be very successful for AMC and won several accolades. One of the main reasons for the show’s success is that it managed to keep viewers at the edge of their seats throughout its run. This was probably the first high-end show set in a zombie apocalypse and its engaging storytelling also helped it achieve some extraordinary feats. Now, AMC is set to take viewers on another thrilling journey that primarily focuses on two of the franchise’s most popular characters: Maggie and Negan.

Titled ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’, the series chronicles the journey of Maggie and Negan trying to survive in Manhattan, which has now become the haven for the dead and for those who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, and terror.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan will be reprising their respective roles of Maggie and Negan. Fans are really excited to see what’s in store for them and their characters as AMC brings another horrifying series to the small screens.

What is the plot of ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’?

The official synopsis reads, “The series follows the popular characters Maggie (Cohan) and Negan (Morgan) traveling into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan long ago cut off from the mainland. The crumbling city is filled with the dead and denizens who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror.”

The trailer also reveals that Maggie and Negan will meet native New Yorkers at various points of their journey.  However, things start going downhill when they move deeper into the city and encounter zombies. It seems like ‘Dead City’ will be filled with lots of nostalgia and moments that made ‘The Walking Dead’ such a massive show.
