Rapper Black Rob left his fans very concerned about his health after he shared a DMX tribute video of himself from a hospital bed. But as fans continued to worry, DJ Self, who had shared the tribute video, posted another update of the rapper's health, where Rob can be seen elaborating on his condition.

Revealing that he has been dealing with this unnamed condition for five years, Rob opened up about the "four strokes" he has suffered during this time. He opened up about how this "sh*t is crazy, this sh*t is hard," as he's "got no house to live in." Rob can be seen looking pretty out of it in the video, as he puts his hand on his forehead a couple of times and sighs that he doesn't care "what people think, what they gonna [sic] say." He concludes the video by saying he needs "rest" as he sighs a few more times, looking dazed. While the claims are worrying after the "distressing" first video, Rob's big-shot rap career in the 2000s has helped him acquire a booming net worth too.

What is Black Rob's net worth?

According to the website Famous People Net Worth, Rob has a whopping estimated $2.3 million to his name. The fortune is largely from his days as a rapper - a skill he had picked up on at the young age of 11 or 12. Inspired by artists he used to listen to at the time, Rob soon kicked off his own career under the name Bacardi Rob. In 1996, he started working with the Bad Boy Label and released a few songs before his debut album came out in 1999. Soon, Rob landed platinum sales, but his breakthrough was yet to come.

Rob took over the genre with his 2000 hit 'Whoa!' - the only solo from the artist that landed in the Top 10 of Billboards. With his private life completely shielded from social media, details of Rob's assets are yet to be revealed. However, him claiming he's got "no home" only extends fans worries after the DMX tribute made the rounds.

Black Rob's worrisome DMX tribute

In the wake of rapper DMX's death on Friday, April 9, countless celebrities took to social media to share thoughts, prayers and condolences, paying tribute to the late artist. Rob too was among them, as a photo of him lying in a hospital bed surfaced on Instagram through DJ Self's account. “Let keep our prayers up Black Rob!!!” DJ Self wrote in the caption. “Get well man Please people out there take care of yourself BR was one of the greats Had NY on his back like Whaooo," it was captioned. Heaving and struggling to talk, Rob said in the previous video, "the pain is crazy man.. it’s helping me out though."

What exactly is the condition Rob's suffering from is yet not clear, but among those pouring in with messages of concerns and well wishes for the rapper was Karlie Hustle, who was able to shed some light on the illness. The former music director of HOT 97 tweeted, "Sending healing energy to Black Rob. He has historically struggled with high blood pressure and has had a stroke in the past. He told Sway some years back that he was taking 10 pills a day to keep the condition under control. Of course he had no health insurance bc music biz. Smh.”
