Was Logan Paul hurt during SummerSlam match against Ricochet? WWE superstar says 'I like actual pain' while praising opponent
CLEVELAND, OHIO: Logan Paul suffered a minor injury during his match against Ricochet at WWE SummerSlam 2023.
This year's Royal Rumble match was the first time Paul and Ricochet met. Later, during the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, the two got into a fight.
The well-known YouTuber and the former Intercontinental Champion got into a dispute in recent weeks. The culmination of their rivalry took place when The Maverick scored a victory over Ricochet at SummerSlam.
‘I like that actual pain’
In the last episode of his podcast Impaulsive, Paul made a black eye appearance. He mentioned that a kick to the face in the first two minutes of the game caused his injury.
“Why do I look worse than you? You had a fight, and I had a wrestling match. You were punched in the face. He kicked me in the face. I think it was a kick in the first two minutes. But I liked it. I like the actual pain. You've got to be careful out there, so I've learned. And I've gotten better with the mechanics of my wrestling moves?” Logan asked his brother Jake.
‘The guy's so good’
At SummerSlam, Logan and Ricochet had a match that was full of action and daring maneuvers. The famous YouTuber loved working with the high-flyer, even if he got hurt in the process.
Paul praised Ricochet in the same edition of Impaulsive, saying that the former Intercontinental champion made it easy for him to look good.
"People really responded to our match, and Ricochet is so good. The guy's so good. He made it easy to look good, and it was a fun match, and I'm interested to see how this conversation continues and my WWE career story arc happens with this boxing weaving in, you know? Because I want to hop back and forth. I don't know if it's ever been done," Logan said.
