'Was it Love' Episode 14: Dae-o manages to save Ae-jeong, Ha-nee but their film is still in danger
'Was it Love' Episode 14 begins with Ae-jeong (Song Ji-hyo) trying to calm Dong-chan and Ha-nee down after the three of them were kidnapped. Dong-chan's father Pa-do, on the other hand, asks Dae-o (Son Ho-jun) and Yeon-woo to give him an hour before reporting to the cops. The man who kidnapped Dong-chan is none other than his paternal uncle and when Dong-chan gets a good look at his face, he recalls memories from his childhood that were buried deep.
He remembers a gunshot, remembers seeing his mother who looks like Ae-jeong getting killed while he had been hidden inside the wardrobe and in the present, this leads Dong-chan to feel guilty about involving Ha-nee and her mother Ae-jeong too. He even says that it is his fault, while Ae-jeong tries to comfort him. Dong-chan is extremely scared of what could happen to the three of them but Pa-do is not going to let Dong-chan's uncle be.
The reason why Dong-chan was kidnapped was that his uncle needed something that was left behind by his mother to take over the gang which was operated by Dong-chan's father. A memory chip is hidden inside a lighter that Dong-chan's mother used to use and this man wants it back. Pa-do agrees to give it back to him but to be able to take complete control of the gang, this guy needs Dong-chan and it is in attempting to take Dong-chan away that Ae-jeong and Ha-nee are also put in danger.
Along with Pa-do, Ha-nee and Ae-jeong are locked up in a room while a gas line is cut and a lighter is left in the microwave. The minute the lighter burst, there is going to be a huge fire in the building which the gang hopes will erase evidence of Pa-do and the others. However, since Dae-o decided to follow Pa-do instead of waiting behind, he manages to let the three of them out. If Ha-nee hadn't returned to the basement again to bring her bag out, all of them would have been safe.
However, as fate had it, she went down and Dae-o followed her. When he realized that things could go up in flames any minute, he uses himself as a shield and ends up getting severely injured. While Ha-nee and Ae-jeong recover quickly, Dae-o lies unconscious and this brings about a confession from Ae-jeong. Right on time, we see Dae-o wake and the happy ending for the two, at least for now.
Pa-do also manages to save Dong-chan and even tells him the whole truth about his family and their past. However, problems for Ae-jeong and Dae-o will rise next from an unexpected corner. Ms Song and Ae-jeong's former boss. Turns out Ms Song is still wanting revenge for the way Ryu Jin's press conference about the rumors regarding his child had affected her and she seems to have information that would bring a huge problem to Ae-jeong's film.
