This article contains spoilers for 'WandaVision' Episodes 1 and 2

Right off the bat, Marvel's 'WandaVision' which premiered on Disney+ confirmed that the perfect life, with all the quirks and comedy, that Avengers Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) are leading is a lie. It is as we may ironically say an illusion of sorts. The two episodes do not answer what happened to Wanda in the aftermath of 'Avengers: Endgame'. However, it does show the return of Vision who had been killed in 'Avengers: Endgame' at Thanos' hands.

That certain segments of the episode show the harsh reality which Wanda successfully masks is proof that the entire world she has created for herself and Vision is actually fake. Her rewinding the time in Episode 2 after seeing a man dressed in a hazmat suit with the SWORD logo shows she is probably in a cocoon and not ready to come out. Call it PTSD if you like, but Wanda's case could pretty much mean the same. Since her time as an Avenger, she lost her brother Pietro Maximoff (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and then her love, Vision.

This pretty much would have driven her insane as she would have then escaped into a world of fantasies, where she also believes she has two children. This was already hinted at on the show with the final minutes showing her as a pregnant woman. Practically, this is impossible. But then, a lot of things are impossible when looked at 'WandaVision' as a whole starting from Vision's return. The helicopter toy that she spots in the bushes and the mystery figure in the suit have one thing in common: A SWORD logo.

Leading us to speculate if Wanda is actually being treated at SWORD HQ so as to come back to normal following the devastating events of 'Avengers: Endgame'. 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' revealed that Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) has been spending an awful lot of time on a space station populated almost entirely by the shapeshifting species known as the Skrulls. When you think about it, Skrulls are the perfect agents for a spymaster like Fury to employ and fans have long speculated that this is the beginnings of SWORD.

Now, SWORD might have had the brains that could help Wanda come back to reality, which she actually doesn't want to. For now, the series quashes all subtlety with that ending in Episode 2. Only time will tell how this ends for Wanda.

'WandaVision' Episodes 1 and 2 are available for streaming on Disney+
