MARIETTA, OHIO: A tragic plane crash into a car dealership on Tuesday, October 18, took the lives of two men, Timothy F Gifford, 49, and Eric S Seevers, 45, at Marietta, Ohio. The incident reportedly occurred at 7.15 am at the Pioneer Buick GMC dealership on Pike Street, reported The Sun. 

Meanwhile, the chilling video exhibiting the crash reveals the horrific moment when the incident occurred. The plane, which took off at 6.40 am from John Glenn Columbus International Airport in Columbus, Ohio was a private twin-engine Beechcraft, informed Ohio State Highway Patrol. A witness said he could hear "screaming" in the wake of the devastating accident, as reported by The Sun.

According to 10TV, one of the victims, Gifford was a firefighter with the Columbus Division of Fire and retired in May, whereas Eric was a flight instructor and West Virginia musician, reports The Sun. Officers with the Marietta Police Department arrived at the scene and witnessed a massive blaze and heavy smoke. With the help of an emergency crew, the authorities could put out the fire. Fortunately, no one on the ground was injured during the crash. Ohio State Highway Patrol also revealed that multiple vehicles and buildings at the dealership were damaged from the crash. 



 



 

The crash remains under investigation. People are asked to avoid the area of state Route 7 between Interstate 77 and Browns Road, reported 10TV. According to 10TV, it stated in a Facebook post, "Timothy recently retired as a firefighter after 15 years with the Columbus Division of Fire. Friends of Eric say he was in a band and was a huge part of the music scene in West Virginia."

As reported by MEAWW, a similar incident is said to have occurred in Florida as two people onboard a plane were killed when it crashed into a home in Miramar, Florida, Monday, October 17. The horrifying ordeal caused several others to evacuate after the Aventura II plane crashed into the yard of a home with its tail on top of the house roof, followed by an alleged fuel spill. Fortunately, no residents were injured in the incident.

The plane went down around 11.40 am in the 2200 block of Jamaica Drive, not far from North Perry Airport. Authorities did not share details about the two people killed in the crash but reported no residential casualties. Miramar Police spokesperson Tania Rues said no one on the ground or in the home was injured. Nevertheless, there was no fire or explosion caused by the crash but the aircraft reportedly managed to break the power lines in the area.
