Actor Darren Barnet has joined Victoria's Secret as the new face of PINK's gender-free line, becoming the lingerie brand's first-ever male ambassador. The 30-year-old actor of 'Never Have I Ever' poses in tie-dye pieces, logo T-shirts, and other loungewear in the new ad, which debuted on social media on Tuesday, 19 April, after PINK launched its gender-neutral range in February 2021.
Barnet announced the news to his 2.3 million Instagram followers while wearing a tie-dye sweatshirt from the brand. The 'Never Have I Ever' actor will promote PINK's gender-neutral collection, which includes some of his personal favorites, and serves as the face of the brand's upcoming fleece shirt jacket launch this autumn. As part of its ongoing commitment to diversity, Barnet will also join in PINK's programs to promote healthy mental health and empower young adults. Barnet joins Chloe and Halle Bailey, the R&B singing sisters known as Chloe x Halle, and TikTok singer Remi Bader as PINK ambassadors.

"I’m excited to be a part," he said."They’re focusing a lot on mental health awareness, inclusivity, community. I could not be more stoked about it, and I will be helping to launch more styles in their gender-free collection." "I love the work that PINK is doing — especially their focus on community and mental health — so I'm really honored to be a part of this team," he said in a statement.
While the firm has engaged male influencers for the gender-free collection, PINK spokesperson Brooke Wilson told the New York Post that Barnet is the first male star to come on as an ambassador. The 'Love Hard' actor said he likes the collection but wasn't sure what he was getting himself into as part of the relationship.
"We are so excited to announce this partnership because Darren is such a positive role model for teens and young adults. As we focus on expanding our gender-free offerings and continue to evolve as a brand, we want to ensure our partners not only represent the diversity of our customers but also embody individuality and self-confidence", PINK CEO Amy Hauk said in a statement.
Darren also spoke about filming the young adult rom-com Netflix series, 'Never Have I Ever'. The heartthrob said it made him remember his high school days and the "insecurities and issues that we face as young adults." "I know how it feels to not fit in, and how important it is to feel supported and accepted for who you are," he shared with Mail Online.
