‘Vanderpump Rules’ Preview: Lala offers to help James after he decides to attend his first AA meeting
It took Raquel Leviss threatening to leave him, for James Kennedy to make some major changes in life. James’s tryst with alcohol has been well documented on ‘Vanderpump Rules’. After having a few drinks James turns into a nasty person who hurts his loved ones with his harsh words. James even lost his job at SUR, after he got drunk and fat-shamed his co-star Katie Maloney-Schwartz.
Ever since then Lala Kent has been after him asking him to stop drinking and get his life in order. Lala too battled alcoholism and turned to support groups like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) to help her deal with it. When Lala suggested the same to James, he didn’t seem very keen on it.
In the sneak peek clip for the upcoming episode, we see Scheana Shay, Ariana Madix and Lala sitting together. Scheana then begins telling Lala that she and Raquel went out for a party, where Raquel got drunk and had a good time. While they were partying, James kept bombarding them with texts and call asking for his girlfriend Raquel’s whereabouts.
When he didn’t get any response, he reportedly began sending nasty texts to Raquel calling her names and threatening to break up. Ariana chips in saying that she saw some of the texts which James sent to Raquel, and they were awful. Lala didn’t look shocked by what she was hearing about her ex, James. But she did look pleasantly surprised when Scheana reveals that Raquel had a talk with him following which James assured her that he would be taking steps to seek help and get better,
When Lala heard it she was very happy for James and feels glad that he has decided to change his life for the better. She then expresses her desire to help him by offering to talk about her experience with the recovery program with him.
