'It’s our real friendships with each other, and with Lisa, and the loyalty we have essentially made this show so great!' she told MEAWW.

Bravo's reality TV show ‘Vanderpump Rules’, a spin-off of ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’, has been an enormously successful series.

Joining MEA WorldWide (MEAWW), show’s cast member Kristen Doute had a casual chat about many things that include her closest friend in the show's new cast, who she does not care for and if she feels like they are trying to phase the OG cast out. She also spoke about her relationship with Stassi and Katie and how watching it back is helping her piece together what really happened between them and what to expect from her new book 'He’s Making You Crazy: How to Get the Guy, Get Even, and Get Over It'.

With the addition of a handful of new cast members this season, we asked the television personality, clothing designer, entrepreneur, actress, and author which one she connected the most to, “I’m friends with a few of them. I love Dana ― I think Dana was an awesome addition to the show; I think she’s an awesome addition to our friend group.”

However as far as new cast member Charli is concerned, Doute does not share the same sentiment, "I think Charli is a mini Sheena. I feel like she watched seven seasons of 'Vanderpump Rules' and said, what does Sheena do?  I'm gonna do that too."

She also expressed her love for Max. “I’ve known Max a lot longer and I think that something that maybe people don’t know was Max wasn’t just plopped into our lives — although maybe on to the show. But Max is the GM of Tom Tom for quite some time. So, I love Max. he lives in the Valley as well.”

Talking about Brett Caprioni, Doute said, “Brett’s cool. I like Brett.” She added, however, “I don't love what I’m seeing of Brett thus far on the show.”

Doute also said in regards the more seasoned cast, that she’s the closest to Brittany. “Since being in quarantine, Brittany and Jax are the only ones I have seen. And I talk to Sheena a lot, I talk to Ariana, I talk to Dana. Really, I talk to most of the girls.”

Asked if she feels like the new cast members of ‘Vanderpump Rules’ were perhaps trying the phase the old blood out of the show, Doute said, “I don’t know. I don’t think phasing any of us out would ever work. I think we’ve proven that it’s our real chemistry and our real friendships and the real connection that we’ve all had, with each other, and with Lisa, and kind of the loyalty we have to Lisa and her establishments is kind of essentially what has made this show so great!”

“I’m always open to bringing new people in,” said Doute. “Because I think it’s fun and it’s great for the viewers and it’s fun to like spice things up a little bit. And obviously, they want to continue to center it around Lisa’s establishments because that’s why we have a show, to begin with. So I completely understand involving people that work for her. But it is weird for me to watch this. I think I’m watching two shows simultaneously. Like, I’m like here’s our show and here’s this other show.”

She added however that while she and the others did not really know the new cast members very well at the beginning of the summer, things would hopefully become more seamless in the future.

Talking about Stassi and Katie, and if her friendship with them was portrayed accurately this season, Doute said, “I’m watching it with everyone else, trying to kind of get to the root of what happened because for me, we weren’t great — obviously, everyone saw that in Season seven. There were a lot of frustrations surrounding the Carter issue. And I appreciated them having my back, and I can only imagine how difficult that was. But, I personally feel like I’ve been through that with both of them. Specifically Stassi.”

“Stassi’s been through all the Patrick stuff. Like, it’s not that different. It really isn’t. And, maybe, I just handle it better than they do… There’s a lot more to come in regards to that,” said Doute about “How sh*t hits the fan”.

Speaking of Carter, interestingly enough he is an important part of Doute's book 'He’s Making You Crazy: How to Get the Guy, Get Even, and Get Over It'.  While the couple has been on and off for quite some time, Doute says that the rest of the season will probably focus on that relationship a little too much, "it will probably be dragged out for the rest of the season, because that's the way the summer went for me.  I too am sick of watching mine and Carter's relationship being dragged, but unfortunately it will continue on through the remainder of the season."

'He’s Making You Crazy: How to Get the Guy, Get Even, and Get Over It' talks about Doute's side of some of 'Vanderpump Rules' most epic dramas and she also shares some deeply personal things about herself and her past that she has never publicly said before.

The book is set to be released on June 2 and is a must-read!
