'Vampires vs The Bronx' Ending Explained: How did Vivian and her team of ghoulish vampires die?
Gentrification is a horror, quite literally. 'Vampires vs The Bronx' shows the concept by pitting teenagers against a gang of White vampires, who have settled in their neighborhood and are trying to overrun the smaller businesses, by redesigning and making them flashy and glitzy. In short, the flavor of the town is slowly being eroded by invaders. The vampires are preying on the people. Their bodies cannot be found -- a dark symbolism for those without a voice. Frank Polidori (Shea Whigham), the manager of Murnau properties has been edging people out of their businesses, and the team behind the operation is his gang of vampires. Except, they're not at his mercy. He's at their mercy.
And in this mess, we meet our young adolescents, Miguel (Jaden Michael), Bobby (Gerald W Jones), and Luis (Gregory Diaz IV), who are trying to help their friend, Tony (Joel “The Kid Mero” Martinez), from losing his bodega. Miguel is called the 'Lil Mayor' of his town, as he helps in fundraising and is almost like a local entrepreneur. Miguel sees a vampire at his grim work, who promises to get rid of all of them. So, begins a chase to get rid of the vampires for once and for all. It's a tough battle because no one believes them. Despite their best efforts, they're not able to capture any footage of the vampires, which leads the town to think that they are all lying and messing around. Their mothers are furious with their endeavors and mutter much about grounding them.
Bobby gets upset with his friends after all the skirmishes and vows to never to speak to them, till he lands in the crosshairs of Frank. Bobby manages to escape and patch up with his friends. Together, they vow to bring down the vampires, including their neighbor Vivian (Sarah Gadon), who kills their friend Tony. The teenagers rush to the church, manage to steal some holy water, garlic, and sacred items that burn up the vampires with immediate efficacy. Frank turns to their side and helps them, but is killed by the vampires as well. Nevertheless, it's a happy ending, as the mothers and the rest of the owners of the small businesses, and the locals watch as the vampires burn.
