LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Ultraman' is a global phenomenon that has changed the perspective of the world when it comes to Tokusatsu genre films and TV shows. Japan has been giving us content that is both inspiring and has changed the course of cinema all these years. As Pokemon and Naruto became global sensations and devoloped into a brands over the years, 'Ultraman' didn't quite get a chance to flourish. With Netflix acquiring rights to the series, it came over at the streaming giant's door and became the talk of the town for its impeccable storyline, animation, and quite a great developing arc.

Our wait has ended, as the last and final season of 'Ultraman' dropped on Netflix earlier today, and we have a lot to talk about. This time around, the story is much more intense than the last season, and it sure looks like there was a big chunk of development in the story and how different the main lead, Shinjiro, is in this season.

Shinjiro is back, but with conundrum on his hands

We descend upon what looks like a busy Tokyo city, with a group of unsuspecting citizens stopping in their tracks and being whisked away, left behind. In an instant, the entirety of the area is left devoid of people as their smartphones fall to the ground. Journalists are covering the news, people are suspecting a new alien has come to torment the town, and just when they leave all hope, our beloved 'Ultraman' gets down from his jet onto the building, restoring people's faith in humanity.

Season 3 comes into its own as Ultraman. Shinjiro is called back in once more to face a new alien threat, but things are different and Shinjiro's powers are more powerful this time around. While spending time with his love interest, Rena Sayama, Shinjiro is called in once again to eliminate the threat. He steps away to transform and save the day, but things don't turn out as he wants, and the people who once loved him turn their backs on him while labeling him a villain.

More power, more consequences

Shinjiro stands between saving the world and remembering the actions he is facing the consequences of. His powers have doubled up and his suit can't contain it. With the mindset of a hero, he is doing more damage than good. But, as every superhero story goes, things take a turn for the better and Shinjiro learns many things about his powers and the curse behind them that once caused his father to destroy the family. But, all in all, season 3 was hyped by Netflix as the last and final season of 'Ultraman' and totally delivered on it.

'Ultraman' Season 1 and 2 now exclusively available to binge on Netflix.
