'Sh**ting Stars' teaser marks Lee Sung Kyung's return, wows fans with INSANE cameo lineup

Lee Sung Kyung is back in action two years after her hit drama 'Doctor Romantic'

The teaser for tvN’s upcoming drama ‘Sh**ting Stars’ starring Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Dae was released today, April 8 and fans couldn’t contain their excitement. The rom-com will finally see Lee Sung Kyung back in action, two years after the success of ‘Doctor Romantic’ in 2020.

'Sh**ting Stars' is a romantic comedy about the people who work behind the scenes in the entertainment industry. The drama depicts the realistic story of those who stand behind celebrities, clean up their messes and work hard to make them shine. Oh Han Byul, the head of the PR team at an entertainment agency, will be played by Lee Sung Kyung, while Kim Young Dae will play her nemesis, the A-list star Gong Tae Sung, who is also a troublemaker.

The teaser

The newly released teaser gave an exciting look into some of the cast who will be making special appearances in the drama. In the teaser, Oh Han Byul and her public relations team deal with a variety of people, including Park Jung Min, Song Ji Hyo, Chae Jong Hyeop, Moon Ga Young, and Kim Dong Wook. “They say that the most useless thing in the world is to worry about celebrities," Park Jung Min says over dinner with Oh Han Byul. "You can think of celebrities as a different species from us," Oh Han Byul responds. "Like aliens?"

Song Ji Hyo walks forward with confidence, but as soon as she sits, she rests her head on the table, and Oh Han Byul's voiceover says, "Our actress isn't feeling well at the moment." In the next scene, viewers can see Lee Sang Woo and Kim Seul Gi. The latter plays a two-faced idol who acts bright and cute in public but is actually rude while the former is also shown to have a disagreeable attitude.

Throughout it all, Gong Tae Sung, a well-known actor, remains by Oh Han Byul's side. Though they have a tense relationship, he insists on not firing Oh Han Byul. "I know it's late, but thank you," she adds with a pleasant smile near the end of the video.

If you are waiting to see the romance spark between the two, here’s the good news. ‘Sh**ting Stars’ will air on Viki on April 22, 2022, at 10.40 pm KST and will include English subtitles.
