J Balvin has become the latest global star to collaborate with McDonald's. It looks like the fast-food giant has completely revamped their branding and marketing strategies as the news comes after they had roped-in hip-hop star Travis Scott in September for a brand new meal collaboration. Now, it is the reggaeton star Balvin whose signature meal will now available from October 5 all through November 1, 2020.

McDonald's announced the big news by sharing a photo of the multiple Latin Grammy Award-winning artiste on their official Twitter account where we can see the Columbian singer sitting with his brand new meal. The tweet reads, “Can I have a fry @JBALVIN?” The 35-year-old Spanish artiste replied to one of their other posts with a photo and a caption which read, “¡lego! #ad

According to Business Insider, Balvin’s McDonald's meal will include a Big Mac, fries and ketchup and an Oreo McFlurry. As per the report, the cost of Balvin’s meal will vary by location, unlike Scott’s meal which sold for a fixed $6 everywhere. Customers can also reportedly get the Oreo McFlurry for free if they place the orders via the McDonald's app. Adding more hype to the new deal, Balvin said in an official press statement that there will be more surprises concerned with the new partnership.

The Internet reacted in its own way after the big news dropped. One user on Twitter said, “First it was Travis Scott, now it’s J Balvin. When do I get my own meal, @McDonalds?Here’s the order: 1 McDouble 1  McChicken 'Slick Mick Style'* 1 Small Fries 1 Large Coke *Hold mayo, add ketchup.” Another said, “Why are these musicians collaborating with McDonald’s all of a sudden? J balvin now.”

Another user added, “Sooo like Travis Scott and J Balvin have meals with McDonald’s... all I’m saying is I’m READY for when BAD BUNNY comes out with his.” One user said, “So another basic meal that’s going to be raised in price and people are going to actually buy it thinking it’s something special.”

Michael Jordan was the first-ever global icon to get his own McDonald’s signature meal way back in 1992 followed by Scott, which makes Balvin only the third in the list to crack the deal. Scott’s signature meal had surpassed everyone’s expectations and hence, it will be interesting to see how people react to Balvin’s new collaboration.

On the work front, Balvin had released his fifth studio album, ‘Colores’ earlier in March which earned him 13 Latin Grammy Award nominations.
