'Downright sick': Tory Lanez slammed for bringing son, 6, to trial in Megan Thee Stallion shooting case
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The trial of rapper Tony Lanez began on Monday, December 12, with opening statements recorded against him. The 30-year-old rapper is accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot and could face 22 years in prison if found guilty of the charges. But, what caught the attention after the December 12 trial was the presence of his six-year-old son, Kai’Lon. One of the netizens said, “That lil boy [doesn’t] need to be there.”
Captured in a video, Tory can be seen walking out of the court carrying his son on his shoulder, commenting, "He is my support system and I am his too." However, many bashed him for using his son to gain sympathy. A user wrote, "Bringing your kid to court for sympathy is down right sick." One more said, "He trying to get sympathy points lol. As a father he shouldn’t have gotten himself involved in this situation in the first place." While another commented by saying, "Imagine having to do this just to gain sympathy from people, instead of taking the kid to Disneyland he takes him to court this your goals?"

The Tory Lanez incident
As per Distractify, Megan and Tory got into a heated argument outside of Kylie Jenner's house party in July 2020, which led to Tory allegedly shooting Megan in the foot. In an Instagram Live video, Megan alleged that Tory’s publicist was spreading false information about the shooting and claimed, “Yes, this (n-word) Tory shot me." She said in the video, "I didn’t get cut by no glass, but let me tell you why they’re saying that. When the police came because the neighbors called the police … the police come — I’m scared. All this shit going on with the police … I didn’t want to die. I didn’t want the police to shoot me cause there’s a (n-word) with a gun in the car with me," quoted Vulture.
