'She doesn't know her dad anymore': Tom Cruise hasn't seen Suri, 16, since split from Katie Holmes in 2012
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Tom Cruise is still not a part of his daughter Suri Cruise's life. Apparently, the 'Mission Impossible' star has not seen his 16-year-old daughter in 10 years.
The movie star welcomed Suri with his then-wife, Katie Holmes, in April 2006. But Cruise has not been part of Suri's life since 2013 and a year after his split from the actress in 2012. The father-daughter duo has not been photographed since a 2012 trip to Disneyland when she was just five-year-old.

Tom Cruise has not seen Suri in 10 years
At present, Suri is 16 and she has reportedly started applying to colleges with the help of her mother, according to a report by the Daily Mail. She is currently living in New York City with her mother, and they are photographed out and about together quite often. But after all these years, her famous father is still completely estranged from her life.
"Suri does not know her father anymore and she has not spent time with him in a decade," an insider recently spilled to an outlet. "She does not go to see his movies and he has no part in her life."
The former 'Dawson's Creek' star was given 'sole custody' of Suri, and according to their divorce documents, Cruise agreed to pay her $400,000 a year until Suri turned 18 years old.
Connection with the Church of Scientology
Suri has not seen the 'Mission Impossible' star in a decade after her mother Katie refused to join The Church of Scientology.
While the actor does not often discuss his personal life, he did address this situation during the 2013 trial. It took place after the couple's divorce when tabloid stories surfaced that claimed Cruise abandoned his daughter. He sued the tabloid for defamation at the time, seeking $50 million. He was deposed in 2013 amidst the lawsuit and was asked whether Holmes' desire to protect Suri from the Scientology ties was part of the reason the two divorced.
"I find that question offensive. There’s no need to protect my daughter from my religion," he insisted. However, when pressed about whether or not Scientology was one of the reasons Holmes left him, he admitted, "That was one of the assertions, yes."
In 2016, the controversial church was once again blamed for keeping Cruise and Suri apart because, according to its rules, members are forbidden from associating with nonbelievers. Since neither Suri nor Holmes was Scientologists, Cruise reportedly could not have a relationship with either one, according to a report by Page Six.
