LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Today’ show prides itself on some brilliant guests that they host, whether they’re on a segment about skincare, or promoting something new. The most recent guest on ‘Today’ was none other than the comedy queen, Amy Schumer, herself, who appeared on Wednesday, June 7 episode. As much as Schumer might have appreciated being on the show, it looks like it was too early in the morning for her!

Al Roker and Carson Daly did not let go of the opportunity to make sure Schumer was wide awake during this segment of ‘Today’ show. Schumer and comedy go together, hand in hand, and Roker and Daly made sure they capitalized on that for their audience, and of course, their guest. Hoda Kotb and Craig Melvin were also present on the scene, and got a good laugh out of the entire ordeal!

Why was Schumer on the ‘Today’ show?

Schumer’s latest comedy special, ‘Amy Schumer: Emergency Contact’ will be landing on Netflix on June 13 and she is making sure her fans and others are well aware. Schumer took to the ‘Today’ show to promote her comedy special. Of course, Schumer is a little more unique compared to the other guests that have appeared, as she appeared dozing off at the studio during the live segment, while Kotb, Melvin, Daly, and Roker, along with a cheerful and excited audience, waiting for her to wake up and begin the segment.

Before the show could cut to Schumer in the studio after Kotb announced her name, Roker and Daly looked ready with smiles and a camera in their hands. As soon as Schumer was shown dozing off in the studio, the yelling from Daly and Roker began, and there was nothing but laughter around. It took a while for Schumer to wake up as she composed herself and fixed her hair. A lot of guests have unique entries and some are introduced in the most normal ways possible, but Schumer wasn’t going to join that list. If viewers didn’t already find Schumer funny, they definitely will after the ‘Today’ show, and tune into Netflix to watch her comedy special!
