In a recent post on Instagram, Roker shared adorable snaps of himself cradling his new baby granddaughter. The photos showed Roker sitting in a comfortable chair, holding the infant in his lap. One photo captured him smiling at the camera while clutching the baby, while another focused on Roker's finger being held by the newborn. The standout picture showcased Roker's affectionate gaze toward his granddaughter, exuding pride as a new grandpa. Roker captioned the post, "Spent the afternoon visiting @ouichefroker @thatteacherwhodjs and my granddaughter Sky Clara. Held her for about 2 hours and couldn't stop marveling at that #olddads punim.” Roker’s wife and Sky’s grandmother, Deborah Roberts also left a comment with heart emojis on the post.

Al Roker recently became a grandfather for the first time after his daughter Courtney gave birth. Roker shared the first photos of his granddaughter, Sky Clara Laga, expressing his love and excitement. Roker’s ‘Today’ show co-hosts congratulated him, and his followers praised the adorable baby in the comments. Courtney and her husband Wesley welcomed their daughter together. The news of Roker becoming a grandfather was announced during Hoda Kotb's Morning Boost segment as Craig Melvin announced, “Our own Al Roker has become a grandfather. Al's daughter Courtney and her husband Wes welcomed a baby girl yesterday. The baby's name is Sky Clara Laga. Sky - a meteorological name of course”. He continued, “Al says everyone's doing well. Family couldn't be happier”. Suddenly Sheinelle Jones chimed in, “That’s really cute that his first grandchild’s name is Sky. How cute is that?” Dylan Dreyer replied, “He was so excited for this too,” adding, “You could just see the excitement when he talked about it.”
