Nigerian singer and songwriter Tiwatope Savage, better known to the world as Tiwa Savage, has been in the news after she spoke openly about a sex tape featuring her and her current boyfriend. She also disclosed that someone has threatened her to release it if she did not pay the ransom.
But speaking on Power 105.1 FM, she said: “I'm like what are we gonna do and my manager is like 'How much are they asking for?' So I woke and I was like no — I pay now, two months time you gonna come back again and two years and who knows if I do send you the money you are gonna release it anyway. Like the fact that I'm not going to allow anyone to blackmail me for doing something that is natural. This is an intimate moment with someone I'm dating.”

However, during the whole conversation, Savage did not disclose whom she is currently dating. In fact, she did not even mention for how long she has been romantically involved with that mysterious person, but added: “The person I am dating is not famous, he is a regular guy.”

Savage was married to Tunji 'Tee Billz' Balogun until 2018 when she filed for divorce claiming “unsolvable issues”. The 41-year-old met Balogun — a Nigerian media mogul, manager, and entertainer — at a concert in Los Angeles. The two first started as business partners, but soon became fond of each other and started dating.
In February 2013, Balogun proposed to Savage at a Lagos restaurant, and in November of the same year, they exchanged vows at the Ark in Lekki. They also had their White wedding at the Armani Hotel in Dubai, on April 26, 2014. In 2015, the ex-couple was blessed with a son — Jamil Balogun.
But the fairytale love story began to shatter in 2016 when Balogun accused his mother-in-law of witchcraft and his wife of adultery. Savage fired back soon as she gave an emotional video interview to ‘This Day Newspaper’ and ‘Pulse Nigeria’ and accused Balogun of financial recklessness, infidelity, and drug abuse. But the actress’ interview reportedly resulted in a more drastic situation as Balogun tried to take his life by jumping from the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos. He was saved by friends and co-artists, Banky W and Paul Okoye.
After taking advice from their friends and family, Savage and Balogun came back together in 2017, but that did not work in their favor. A year later, Savage filed for legal separation. Both have moved on in their lives since then with Savage taking custody of six-year-old Jamil.

Though Savage has kept her lips tight in this matter, some reports have claimed that she was dating Nigerian Afro-pop star Wizkid soon after separating from her ex-husband. But that relationship also reportedly did not work out, majorly because of the huge age gap. Savage was 11 years older than Wizkid.
After Wizkid, Savage reportedly got involved with Nigerian singer Naira Marley. Fans have already started speculating that the duo will soon be a power couple. But there is no official announcement from the two.
