Man dangles girlfriend off balcony at influencer party, viral TikTok sparks outrage
Yet another influencer party has become the focal point of social media's outrage after a man could be seen dangling a woman off the balcony of a Los Angeles venue. The woman has been identified as the unnamed man's girlfriend after making it to TikTok. Raking in millions of views in a single day, the video kicks off with the couple seemingly joking around before the man picks up the woman and hurts her head in the process of flipping her on his shoulder. He then proceeds to dangle her off the balcony thus earning the internet's anger over 'risking' another person's life.
News of this daredevil stunt comes after a year full of controversial TikTok influencers throwing parties breaking strict Covid-19 guidelines, and the internet calling them 'disgusting' for it.
After popular TikToker Bryce Hall and YouTube make-up guru James Charles were criticized for throwing unruly parties mid-quarantine, this party attended by 'The Bachelor' alum Brittany Galvin too is earning major social media backlash.

Galvin posted the original the video on her TikTok account @lilgalvin, on June 26, with the caption: "No more parties in LA". The clip has since earned 7 million views. The video shows the man fling the woman on his shoulder, but not before her head hits the parapet behind. Then the man can be seen dangling the woman over a balcony as the background noise is filled with gasps and yelps. The woman being dangled smiles as she grabs hold of the parapet, before she is lowered to safety. As soon as she is on the ground, the woman does a back-flip while the rest of the party gawps.
Galvin, who seems to be filming the original video, can be heard asking in the background: "What is going on?” Those who viewed the video chimed in the comments section with the same curiosity. One TikTok user commented on the video, saying it was like a “fever dream.” Others wondered why someone's life would be unnecessarily risked by another. “I would never be friends with them again,” one person wrote, adding: “Risking my life like that.” Another added: "If my friends ever did that I’m cutting them off immediately."
One user expressed alarm, writing: “No cause her life was in his hands and so was his. If he dropped her she would’ve died and he would be a murderer.” Others slammed the stunt saying that it’s “not worth it.” One user remarked: “Seems like she was trying to impress the crowd. Wasn’t worth it at all." Another proclaimed: "[The] way I would’ve left [the] party just being around behavior like that." Rounding up everybody's biggest question, one user asked: “What was the reason for the backflip?” Others commented, "I think she’s just happy he didn’t drop her."
