'This is so exciting': Fans thrilled as 'Barbie: The Album' full tracklist is announced

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The movie of the summer 'Barbie' along with 'Barbie: The Album' is hitting theaters on July 21. The album will feature Dua Lipa, Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice, Haim, Lizzo, the K-pop group Fifty Fifty, and Ryan Gosling who also plays Ken in the movie starring Margot Robbie.

Gosling has previously co-fronted the indie band Dead Man's Bones so this is not his first musical venture. Ryan Gosling, 42, has also made a name for himself by showcasing his singing abilities in the Grammy-winning musical 'La La Land.'

'It's official'

The album features Ava Max, Dominic Fike, Gayle, Haim, Kali, Karol G, Khalid, Pink Pantheress, Tame Impala, and The Kid Laroi. The $100 million comedy was co-written and directed by three-time Oscar nominee Greta Gerwig and her baby daddy Noah Baumbach, and it features Oscar winner Helen Mirren as the narrator of the first live-action Barbie movie.

With the announcement of the full tracklisting, fans are expressing their excitement to revisit their childhood days. "It's official! We are honored to be a part of this album," Fifty Fifty announced on Twitter sharing the full artist listings. Even though the fans were excited, some expressed concern saying "It was the real missed opportunity for not having the Aqua on here" a user commented on Instagram.



 

'Barbie just makes me go back to my childhood'

Alice Glass has already teased her gothic rendition of the popular Aqua parody song 'Barbie Girl' from 1997 which is anticipated to appear on 'Barbie: The Album' as per Daily Mail. One more user wrote on Instagram, "Was a little sad that Aquaโ€™s โ€˜Barbie Girlโ€™ wasnโ€™t going to be in the movie. But this totally makes up for it! Congratulations!!." Another person shared, "It is though I think it's going to be remixed?"  One more wrote, "I still can't believe this is really happening." Another wrote, "Barbie just makes me go back to my childhood when my sister used to often play with her Barbie dolls. My parents would often get her a new one, every time she asked for."

"So honored to be a part of this. Omgggggggggggggg," Nicki Minaj wrote while sharing the 'Barbie' trailer. "Deserved you're the real life Barbie!!! Can't wait to hear it," she received a reply.  "They labeled it as inappropriate because it sexualizes 'Barbie' but itโ€™s literally iconic,"  a user wrote about the album, "Songs of the summer!!!," wrote another. "Talk about a stacked line-up of artists Can't wait," one more wrote on Twitter.
