TikToker Baby Soja divides Internet saying she 'hates' children in public places, calls for 'adults only' suburbs
MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA: Internet is divided on an Australian TikToker's controversial proposal for "adult only" suburbs with a stringent no children allowed policy. In a recent viral video, 27-year-old Melbourne social media influencer Baby Soja claims to "hate kids" in public places. She called for a children-free suburb where they can just be quiet and undisturbed. In the video, she expressed her displeasure at children upsetting the "peace and quiet" of public spaces like swimming pools before proposing the idea.
"I would like to know when somebody is planning on opening an adults-only suburb where everything in it is only for adults," the TikToker said. "I'm so sick of going places and kids are just everywhere screaming, and I just have to put up with it?" she added. While a few supported the idea, some annoyed people instructed her to "move to a retirement village" if she wants to relax. Others admitted they would spend all of their savings to move to a child-free suburb. Soja's video can be seen here.

'There should be more adult-only places'
Soja spoke of her recent annoyance when she went for a swim in the pool and found children jumping in and out of the lap lane and impeding exercise. "They have their own pool and they're in the lap lane pool, not swimming laps just jumping in screaming, and that's just allowed because they're allowed. "I just feel like people like me who are evil and hate kids should have our own suburb where we can just be quiet and undisturbed."
The controversial video received a divided response, but the vast majority — including hundreds of parents — agreed with the concept. "As a mum, I agree. I hate going to dinner without my kids to listen to other people's kids carry on. There should be more adult-only places," one woman said. "Not just for people who hate kids but I imagine some adults with kids would like a break too," another agreed. "I would spend all my savings to get to this community," another user commented.
'Some people don't want to be around kids 24/7'
However, there were some who weren't fond of the idea, who informed the TikToker that such places really exist and are known as "retirement villages." "Yes, kids may get annoying and we may need our own space, but at the end of the day, they are just kids they can't help screaming cause they are only young," one woman wrote. "You used to be a kid mate.. ya know. So get over getting older," another comment read. The TikToker clapped back at those who made hate comments by writing, "Soz that some people don't want to be around kids 24/7," she said. "I'm not saying kids shouldn't be allowed at the pool it'd just be nice if there were more places that were just for adults to enjoy and that includes parents wanting a break from their kids to chill," another commented.
