You're never too old to follow your dreams. Joe McGuinness, 43, wanted to teach his children this lesson when he decided to audition for 'The Voice' Season 21. The Atlanta resident revealed that he worked as a stop-motion animator. Although he loves his job his passion has always been music. He explained how growing up in a Scottish family and his grandfather and father being musicians themselves, he sort of gravitated to it himself.

So from a very early age, Joe knew that he wanted to be in the music industry and learned to play various instruments. He joked how the only instrument he can't play is the bagpipes despite his Scottish heritage. He dropped out of high school and hit the road with big dreams of becoming a musician. He took up any gig that paid him some money and provided some food and shelter. He eventually met his wife and settled down. He revealed on 'The Voice' that his wife was always supportive of him pursuing his dream of creating music. So, he finally decided to take a chance and try out his luck.

His performance sadly didn't make the cut,

After watching Joe's performance on the show fans took to Twitter to express how he deserved at least one chair turn. A fan tweeted, "I think Joe should’ve received a chair turn. #TheVoice." Another fan wrote, "Joe is perfect for Team Blake. #TheVoice." "Joe is a cool cat -- but probably just didn't have the vocal dynamics to make Kelly turn #TheVoice #VoiceBlinds," commented a fan. Another fan pointed out, "Joe McGuinness taking his time strumming his axe and growling they the lyric.
