With the number of spots on the various coaches' teams almost inching close to full capacity, the coaches on 'The Voice' Season 21 are being extremely picky when it comes to turning their chairs for the performers. So, when 16-year-old Sophia Bromberg stepped on the stage, little did anybody know that the young performer from California would get not one but a cool three-chair turns!

Sophia's soulful rendition to 'Heather' left the coaches Ariana Grande, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend speechless. The coaches were especially impressed by her ability to hit whistle notes at such a young age so effortlessly. Although all the coaches tried really hard to get the exceptionally talented Sophia to join their team it came as no surprise when she picked Team Ariana. Considering the pop icon's reputation with whistle notes, it was only natural for Sophie choosing 'Thank You, Next' singer as her coach. While the coaches are totally mesmerized by Sophia's impeccable performance, sadly the same can't be said for fans.

After watching Sophia's performance several fans took to Twitter to pan it. While fans acknowledged that it was impressive on the teenager's part to hit whistle notes, they however felt that her performance wasn't on par with some of the other performances on the show. Many fans felt that Sophia needed to work more on fine-tuning her vocals, but agreed that she made a wise decision of picking Ariana as her coach as it would help her grow and hone her skill.

A fan tweeted, "Please tell me I’m not the only one that didn’t like Sophia’s performance, but I mean if anyone can help her improve it’s definitely Ariana #thevoice." "Sophia was good but ngl that whistle didn’t sound the greatesttand a word Sophia was singing, I’m surprised she had a 3 chair turn,I did not like her voice at all, #TheVoice."

"This Sophia girl just managed to mumble-sing through that entire song... #thevoice," commented a fan. "That Sophia girl hurt my ears. #TheVoice," declared a fan.
