'The Voice' Season 21: Alexandra Stojack gets a no from coaches, fans say 'try again'
Alexandra Stojack, 20, was a bundle of nerves when she stepped onto the stage for her blind auditions on 'The Voice' Season 21. She quickly found her groove as she crooned to 'The Way I Am'. Despite her impressive performance, Alexandra failed to get a chair turn from the coaches.
The four coaches- Ariana Grande, Blake Shelton, John Legend, and Kelly Clarkson, praised Alexandra's performance but pointed out that her nervousness might have gotten the best of her which unfortunately reflected on her performance. While Ariana praised the Cincinnati resident for her unique vocals, she, however, added that she only has one spot left on her team and was waiting for a performance that would wow her. The other coaches too seconded Ariana but urged Alexandra to come back and try again.

Who is Alexandra Stojack?
The 20-year-old hails from Cincinnati, Ohio. In her introduction segment, Alexandra revealed that from a very early age she knew that she wanted to be a performer. So, when she landed the lead role in her school's play, she was beyond thrilled. However, during practice sessions, she began experiencing terrible headaches. Afraid of losing out on her dream opportunity, Alexandra suffered the pain in silence and continued to practice. A few months later the pain got so bad that she was rushed to the ER. After running a few tests, the doctors diagnosed her with Chiari Malformation.
Chiari Malformation refers to a condition where the brain is too big for the skull. Due to the pain and discomfort, Alexandra had to give up performing and that crushed her spirit. She underwent an intense six-hour surgery, where a part of her skull was cut off to alleviate her pain. This surgery was a success and Alexandra was soon back to doing what she loved. This time around she began exploring pop music and related strongly to it.
