First impressions are pretty important and KJ Jennings definitely made an amazing first impression on not only the coaches but also fans of 'The Voice'. During the show's blind auditions, Jennings took to stage to sing Bailey Rae's 'Put Your Records On', a song that she reportedly performed regularly to in her kitchen with her mother! After her impeccable performance, it came as no surprise when Blake Shelton and John Legend turned their chairs for her.

The jazzy element that she brought to her performance piqued John's interest while Blake was just awestruck by her overall vocals. He was quick to point out to KJ that although he mainly dabbles in country music in the past he managed to produce winners from other genres too and hoped she would join his team. Despite Blake's best attempts at poaching KJ into joining his team, she eventually picked Team Legend.
