'The Voice' Season 17 graced our screens this Monday night with Episode two of the Blind Auditions. This week saw a new slew of contestants audition hoping they have at least one coach who turns their chair.

Sadly a few were unable to make it, but the ones who did ended up joining the perfect teams. Some surprised fans and viewers by also choosing a coach that no one expected them to.

One among them is Calvin Lockett from Durham. Auditioning for a chance to get a chair turn, Calvin performed his rendition of the Temptations' classic 'Just My Imagination'.

Blake Shelton was the first coach to hit the red button for him, Gwen Stefani and John Legend followed suit.

His performance had the coaches all shooting out their best pitches. Gwen revealed that she is his fan already and also loves his voice. Adding to that she shared that she also feels threatened by Legend.

Legend, during his pitch, revealed that he had never heard someone with his tone before and we stan. It was unique enough and breathtakingly amazing.

While fans and viewers speculated that he would end up on Team Legend, Calvin took everyone by surprise when he revealed that he chooses Gwen to be his coach.

After his performance, fans took to Twitter to reveal their surprise about his choice of coach, and also to congratulate the singer on choosing a good coach.

"I can't be the only one who was shocked that Calvin picked Gwen. #TheVoice #VoiceBlinds," a fan wrote. Adding to that another said, "how does Calvin not pick John Legend #TheVoice."

"For a second I thought Calvin said Blake and I got happy but then I saw Gwen start running around and I was confused, but I think Calvin will do good with Gwen #TheVoice," said a fan.

Another added, "Calvin seems like such a chill guy. Beautiful, soothing voice.. gonna root for #TeamGwen for now #TheVoice."

'The Voice' Season 17 airs every Monday and Tuesday night only on NBC. Check your local listings for more information.
