'The Voice' Season 17: Fans unhappy after series focuses on Gwen Stefani's fashion advice and skips two battle rounds

While fans enjoyed the battles thoroughly they didn't like the fact that the series skipped two battles and just revealed the winner.

'The Voice' season 17 is facing a backlash from fans after the series decided to skip the battle between Matt New and Max Boyle from Team Legend and Cali Wilson against Elliemae from Team Blake.

Day 2 of the Battle Rounds featured some of the best battles we've seen especially the one between Katie Kadan and Destiny from John Legend's team. While fans enjoyed the battles thoroughly they didn't like the fact that the series skipped two battles and just revealed the winner.

Taking to social media post the episode, fans share that they would have preferred seeing the two battles from Team Legend and Team Blake instead of Gwen Stefani helping Myracle Holloway and Elise Azkoul pick their outfits for the Battle Rounds, and give them fashion advice.

They claimed it was uncalled for. Ever since the season premiered, though there are fans who love Gwen and her coaching on 'The Voice', there have been a few who revealed their displeasure with Gwen only pushing her button because Blake Shelton did, and the PDA between the couple who are dating.

That aside, it looks like Gwen seems to be in the bad books of fans once again because the series featured her giving fashion advice to her team members before their battle, instead of featuring the skipped battles between Matt and Max, and Cali vs Elliemae.

Apart from that, fans also claim that they would prefer to see the battles rather than the montage of their rehearsals.

Taking to Twitter a fan wrote, "I HATE when they montage singers. It's not fair to them. They don't get to connect with the audience. I wanted to see that Matt/Max battle. #TheVoice #VoiceBattles"

"Hey @NBCTheVoice Id like to see less about earrings and fashion choices and more than 2.5 seconds of 2 battles!!! You could have given them 30 seconds each instead of Gwen’s team discussing earrings. Show more singing!! #thevoice #TheVoice2019." wrote another fan. "I hate montages. I want to see the full battle performance of my favorite artist, @Cali_Wilson," shared a fan.

Adding to that another fan said, "I hate that they skip actual battles and give us 10 min of useless backstory and rehearsals for others. #TheVoice #TheVoiceBatttles."

'The Voice' season 17 airs every Monday and Tuesday only on NBC. Check your local listings for more information.
