NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'The View' co-hosts celebrated the indictment of former POTUS Donald Trump over the hush money scandal. In the recent episode, the hosts claimed it was a celebration of the law and even joked about his grandchildren having multiple grandparents with "mugshots."

The show began by playing the trial video of Gwyneth Paltrow's lawsuit, where a retried optometrist sued the actress for a 2016 skiing accident in Utah. Later, the hosts, including Ana Navarro, sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, and Joy Beshar, explained the indictment of Trump, calling it a landmark day for the rule of law.

Judge Juan Merchan will preside over Donald Trump's hush money cash scandal

What did the co-hosts claim in the show?

Hostin said, "I called it. No one is above the law… You can't commit so many crimes and think that you are above the law, even if you are the president." "It really is a celebration of the law," co-host Behar said. "I was reading this article where Ivanka and Jared apparently want to start their new life in Miami, and I was thinking, ‘You know, they now can give their children the distinction of having matching mugshots for both of their grandfathers," Navarro said. "You can pick whether you want Charlie Kushner or Donald Trump mugshot if you are Jared and Ivanka’s child." Kushner was previously prosecuted in 2005 on an array of charges, including tax evasion and witness tampering, and was jailed for two years. "What goes around, comes around," Hostin later added. She also explained that Judge Juan Merchan who presided over the Trump Organization's tax fraud trial will be in charge of the current case proceedings as well.

'Stop promoting this horrible show!'

The Internet quickly reacted to the hosts celebrating his indictment. A user said, " The view is the worst of the worst." Another added, " The only reason I’m here is because they ripped on the grandkids. If we can’t all agree that’s beneath the belt, we’re truly doomed." "How do they say this show is the most daytime show watched ...they hateful nasty bitter women," claimed a user. A user noted, "Y’all are going to a new low!" "Anna bringing kids up= classless. Leave the kids out of it," explained a user. "Now I know why I stopped watching these women. They do not give “views”, they take their personal bias and tout it as fact," read a comment. "What disgraceful so called human beings," claimed another. "Just exactly what you would expect from them," said another user. "They are so cruel—lots of us have loved ones who have made mistakes," added another. A comment explained, "Stay tuned for the show when the case gets dismissed." "My view of that show is far less than favorable. I tried to watch it about 10 years ago. Had to change the channel after 10 minutes," noted a user. A user stated, "Stop promoting this horrible show!"
