A writer of crime stories is about to discover just that in upcoming Spanish thriller on Netflix titled 'The Silence of the Swamp', which was originally titled 'El Silencio del Pantano'.

Plot

According to the official synopsis, "A successful crime novelist finds himself involved in a kidnapping affair and discovers corruption between politicians and the mafia. Pedro Alonso plays a cold and ambiguous character, manipulating reality like the fiction he writes. To this character whose feelings and motivations remain enigmatic is opposed to a gypsy hitman who conducts his own investigation to find the man who threatens the interests of his clan."

The Spanish actor plays the role of journalist-turned-crime writer "Q". Alonso is known for his role of Andrés "Berlin" de Fonollosa in the Spanish heist series 'Money Heist'. He also starred in Amazon Prime Video's first drama series in Latin America, 'Diablo Guardian'. 

Creators 

The Spanish thriller is directed by Marc Vigil. The director is best known for 'The Ministry of Time', 'Malaka', and 'Amor'. The movie is written by Carlos de Pando and Sara Antuna. 'The Silence of the Swamp' is based on a book by Juanjo Braulio.
