What is The Players Trunk?

With the focus on keeping the passion for sports and support for athletes alive, "The Players Trunk is a platform for athletes to sell their game used gear, merchandise, autographed collectibles and experiences to their passionate fans."

Who are the founders?

The Players Trunk was founded by Jason Lansing, Austin Pomerantz, and Hunter Pomerantz, along with athlete-founders Charles Matthews and Zavier Simpson. As per the brand's website, "Jason graduated in 2021 from the University of Michigan where he majored in Sport Management. He was a four-year manager for the men's basketball team." With regard to Austin Pomerantz, "A recent Michigan graduate, Austin majored in Sport Management. Growing up in New York, sports has always been his number one priority.

Hunter Pomerantz is "A recent graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in Sport Management and Business Marketing, who spent 4 years as a head manager for the Syracuse University Men's Basketball team." While Charles Matthews's bio reads, "Growing up in Chicago, Charles is no stranger to the best basketball competition out there. After playing his freshman year at Kentucky, he transferred to the University of Michigan. Once there, he led the team all the way to the National Championship game in 2018. In addition, he graduated in 2020 from the University of Michigan."

Zavier Simpson's bio reads, "The pride and joy of Lima, Ohio, Zavier is the definition of a competitor. Tied for the all-time winningest basketball player in University of Michigan history, he was a fan-favorite at the U of M. Gaining national recognition for his unstoppable hook-shot, he became known as "Captain Hook." Since graduating from Michigan, Zavier is training everyday to play professional basketball this upcoming year."

What is the cost and where to buy it?

The Players Trunk has a wide range of merchandise from T-shirts to signed posters and more, which can be purchased on the brand's website. If you're an athlete yourself, you can also partner with them. All you have to do is visit the 'Seller Sign Up' and "Fill out the simple form. A TPT member will contact you, usually in less than 24 hours. Sign a partnership deal with The Players Trunk. Send them the merchandise. At that point, you are finished except for discussing with TPT the price you would like to set on the items. They will advise, but the decision is yours."

Where is The Players Trunk now?

With regular "trunk drops", the brand is rather active on social media. They announced recently that they have also recently added signed trading cards to their inventory. The caption read, "JUST DROPPED: Brand new SIGNED trading cards are NOW LIVE! Grab yours now and continue to collect all the cards in the TPT set. #Michigan #Clemson #Iowa."

Who will steal the deal?

Seeing that The Players Trunk deals directly with athletes and sports enthusiasts, Mark Cuban is most likely to take the bait.
