LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The most innocent, carefree, and fascinating character in Apple TV+'s 'The New Look', Elsa Lombardi (Emily Mortimer), was shown meeting her tragic end in the ninth episode.

A quick scan of the previous episodes reveals Elsa's frenemy relationship with one of the show's protagonists, Coco Chanel (Juliette Binoche).

The two reminisce about their happy days and plans for the future, but they grow apart over time, with Coco leaving Elsa to follow her own goals.

However, only Elsa was with Coco as she was dealing with her collapse and supporting her friend, but in the final episode, Coco was stunned to discover her good friend had died. Coco, overcome with regret and sorrow, weeps for her companion, but there is nothing she can do anymore.

However, it was clear that she believed there was someone behind Elsa's terrible death, but who was it?

Elsa and Coco had a furious disagreement the night before she died, during which Coco asked her to leave her Swiss hotel.

The cause of their falling out was a complex one where Elsa begged Coco to confess their Nazi ties to André Palasse (Joseph Olivennes) during the German occupation of Paris.

Coco, who had been lying to André, became concerned about what would happen if he found out about her reality.

Will he be able to forgive her? Surrounded by such questions, Coco felt angry when Elsa continued to press her to confess the truth to André, which fueled Coco's rage, prompting her to urge Elsa to move out of her hotel.

Hearing cruel remarks from her dear friend made Elsa heartbroken since she had nowhere to turn to after Coco.

Even though she was upset, she wanted to keep a straight face and told Coco the next morning that she was relocating to her sister Lottie's house (who rudely ignored her).

Coco was also devastated, but she ignored it and went about her job as usual.

Enter clever Hans von Dincklage (Claes Bang), who is well aware that Elsa is a threat to his future as she could expose his real identity. He begins to target her.

He hands her the drugs and seduces her into taking them. The man exited the room with a heartbreaking taunt that Coco did not want her anymore, leaving her even more vulnerable.

In the end, the naive woman was unable to contain herself and ended up taking the substance, overdosing, which led to her untimely death.

After returning from her business, Coco inquired about Elsa at the reception, and when she did not receive an acceptable response, she entered the room and was heartbroken to see Elsa's lifeless body.

She attempts to wake her up, screams her name, and holds her while crying uncontrollably.

She also noticed the syringe on Elsa's wrist as she attempted to inject herself with the drug, which made her suspect foul play.

In the final episode, there are enormous possibilities that Coco will confront Dincklage for his role in Elsa's death.
