BERN, SWITZERLAND: With just one episode remaining, 'The New Look' on Apple TV+ is building quickly, culminating in the rise of Christian Dior (Ben Mendelsohn) and the comeback of Coco Chanel (Juliette Binoche).

Created by Todd A. Kessler the series focuses on the emotional and controversial elements of Coco and Christian's lives.

As established in previous episodes, Coco, who is preparing to make her comeback to Paris after her self-exile in Switzerland, collaborates with her old friend Elsa Lombardi (Emily Mortimer) to open a boutique in the Swiss Alps.

The most recent episode focused on Coco Chanel and Elsa Lombardi's friendship, including the highs and lows they experienced.

However, Elsa's domineering attitude is currently irritating Coco, but a severe tragedy has made her reconsider her decision.

At the start of the episode, Chanel tries to get Elsa out after she is imprisoned for assaulting a man in order to steal narcotics.

Chanel panicked over dinner with Elsa, her nephew André Palasse (Joseph Olivennes), and Hans Von Dincklage, aka Spatz (Claes Bang).

André, knowing he was German, questioned his presence, which of course sent Coco into panic mode.

Coco, afraid that her secret will be revealed to André, resolves to pay Spatz money as quickly as possible so that he can go his own way.

Overcome with emotion, Coco leaves the hotel, and Elsa follows her, asking her to come clean to André and accept responsibility for her emotions, but she refuses.

Things swiftly get heated as Coco, annoyed by Elsa's forceful persuasion, urges her to leave Switzerland immediately.

Following the dramatic night before, Coco informs Elsa that she is headed for a meeting with the Wertheimer brothers in hopes of negotiating some profits.

Meanwhile, Elsa warns her that she is relocating with her sister Lottie and that Coco may not be able to see her again after returning.

She also complains that Coco is keeping Spatz in her life but is willing to push her away. Elsa bids Coco farewell, but Coco, who seems to be heartbroken as well, does not turn back.

Later, Elsa calls her sister Lottie, who informs her that she is not welcome at her home, leaving the fragile woman distraught.

Spatz seduces Elsa into taking more morphine and purposefully makes her feel worse by assuring her that Coco is well without her.

When Coco returns to her hotel, she sees that it is out of power owing to the storm and inquires about Elsa at reception.

As soon as she enters the room, she begins talking to Elsa and expresses her desire to apologize to her, but is taken aback when she sees Elsa's lifeless body.

Coco, panicked, attempts to wake her up and screams her heart out while calling her name.
