LAS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The biographical drama of the Apple TV+, 'The New Look' is just two episodes away from its conclusion, setting the stage for incoming challenges in Christian Dior's (Ben Mendelsohn) journey.

Originating in the heart of Paris, 'The New Look', created by Todd A Kessler, immerses viewers in the challenges faced by fashion icons Christian Dior and Coco Chanel (Juliette Binoche) as they attempt to rebuild their businesses following the devastation of the World War II.

In the latest episodes, viewers witness Christian Dior's journey who at first struggled to secure his sister Catherine Dior's (Maisie Williams) release, is at last starting to get back on his feet after establishing his own fashion house. However, the devastating news of his father's death casts an overwhelming shadow over him.

In the eighth episode, viewers witness Christian preparing for the arrival of Carmel Snow (Glenn Close), who holds the potential to feature his designs in Harper's Bazaar.

Christian's father, Maurice Dior (Michael Carter), extends an invitation for Christian to visit his home, also inviting his brother Bernard Dior (Jonjo O'Neill), who is in a psychiatric institution.

Maurice insisted on a family gathering, but Christian dismissed the notion, citing his busy schedule.

Maurice reminds him that opening his own house was a mistake and cautions him about taking a gamble with the fashion house, emphasizing that success may or may not materialize in the future.

Despite his busy schedule, Christian carves out time to visit Bernard.

During their conversation, Bernard reminds Christian about the implications of the family business, noting that their mother would have been upset with him for operating the firm.

Bernard mentioned his father's failed company, which brought disgrace to the family, and expressed that he still places more trust and support in him.

Bernard's words perfectly capture Maurice's skepticism about Christian's business idea, stemming from a failed experience, suggesting that Maurice may not want his son to endure a similar ordeal.

It was revealed that Catherine is recovering from her traumatic ordeal at the concentration camp and is living with her father in the countryside.

While trying to talk to Maurice about Mr Friedman's daughter, who was also in the concentration camp with her, Catherine finds that is unresponsive.

Cut to Christian, who has just hung a Dior nameplate outside his fashion firm's building, receiving the heartbreaking news of his father's death.

Christian expressed his remorse for his regrettable behavior toward his father by tearing all of his sketches and creating a new, definitive piece by channeling his inner anguish.

'The New Look' episode 8 is now streaming on Apple TV+
