BERN, SWITZERLAND: In addition to exploring the world of haute couture, Apple TV+'s ongoing biographical drama 'The New Look' also portrays the aftermath of World War II.

Created by Todd A. Kessler, the story revolves around Christian Dior (Ben Mendelsohn) and Coco Chanel (Juliette Binoche).

The series exposes the lives of great fashion designers and investigates their emotional challenges.

Coco's difficult predicament was revealed in the sixth episode. Due to public backlash over her German connections, she fled to Switzerland. However, the bold decision led to her facing economic challenges.

As seen in the last episode, in an attempt to recover some financial benefits, Coco decides to prosecute her former partners, the Wertheimer brothers, after discovering that her perfume is being sold without her permission.

The most recent episode, 'It All Came True', features Coco battling obstacles in order to gain monetary advantages.

She cracks jokes about her late-night escapades with Pierre Wertheimer (Charles Berling) to Elsa Lombardi (Emily Mortimer).

Afterward, she asks her perfumer, Henri (Pierre Aussedat), about the scent samples that were turned down.

The man informs her that although the perfumes do have the potential to blow up, she has to travel to Paris to help him make them again since he lost the samples during the war.

Battling financial difficulties, Coco knew that her new perfumes might be the only thing that could save her. Thus, she resolves to go back to the city.

Elsa offers to assist her by suggesting that she travel to Paris through Pierre's connections.

With her charming banter, Elsa tricks Pierre into believing Coco wishes to visit his sick nephew André Palasse (Joseph Olivennes) in Paris.

The man, who has an affinity in his heart for Coco, decides to help her.

Following her return to Paris, Coco meets André, and subsequently, Henri in order to reassemble the perfume.

Even though she detested the thought of leaving and yearned to continue in her favorite city, Paris, she eventually returns to Switzerland.
