With 'Star Wars' fans counting down the days for 'The Mandalorian' Season 2 finale, there are quite a few theories and speculations about how the hit Disney+ series would sign off. Will Mando/Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) save Baby Yoda/Grogu? Will Giancarlo Esposito's Moff Gideon have the last laugh? Will we get another Ahsoka Tano appearance? Will there be any casualties? There are plenty of questions 'The Mandalorian' will have to answer in Season 2's final chapter and with a Season 2 already confirmed, the show will have to set up the foundation for the third installment.

Fans have been hoping for an Ezra Bridger cameo since the events of Episode 6 'The Tragedy'. The chapter saw Mando and Grogu head to Tython where the latter connected with the Force forming a shield of sorts around him. When the phenomenon was over, he was whisked away by Gideon's Darktroopers leaving Mando, Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison), and Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) to add more weaponry to their arsenal and search for Grogu.

While the last episode will most definitely see a Mando v Gideon clash, one character the fans are keen to see is Ezra Bridger, the force-sensitive warrior, who they feel is the one who felt Grogu's connection. Ezra was seen in 'Star Wars: Rebels' created by Dave Filoni. With the creator already introducing some of his best characters including Ahsoka into live-action roles, there is a strong sense that Ezra might show up in the finale.

Last we saw, Ezra was seen to have sacrificed himself and disappeared into an unknown section of the galaxy with the villainous blue-skinned Grand Admiral Thrawn. With the evil general now being name-dropped in the show, fans immediately felt Ezra would have made it out and this would open the door for a potential return.

Although, Taylor Gray, the actor who lent his voice for Ezra in the animated series 'Rebels' was not so optimistic when it came to bringing the character to life in a live-action role. “Having been in this business a long time you see stuff like this often. I didn’t know people were fan-casting for certain roles in any sense," Gray said to the Resistance Broadcast, per StarWarsNewsNet.

"That was the main difference between Clone Wars and Rebels, that the cast was mainly made up of screen actors. I’d never done voice-over before. I remember being to my agent like, ‘Does this mean that if they make it live-action I’ll do it?’ And she was like, ‘I’ve no clue.’"

However, with 'The Mandalorian', known for throwing in surprise elements, there's a chance this could go either way. What are your thoughts on Ezra Bridger making a potential cameo in 'The Mandalorian' Season 2 finale?

'The Mandalorian' Season 2 finale airs on Friday, December 18, on Disney+.
