An action-packed Friday is on the cards as Netflix is all set to roll out 'The Last Days of American Crime." The high-octane action-thriller based on Rick Remender's graphic novel of the same name follows a distant future where the goverment in a bid to fight terrorists and crime, plans to broadcast a signal that makes it virtually impossible for people to knowingly commit any form of crime or unlawful acts that harm people and endanger society.

The Olivier Megaton-helmed feature boasts of a solid cast in Édgar Ramírez,  Michael Pitt, Anna Brewster, and Sharlto Copley. Ahead of film's release, here's what we need to know about the cast.

Michael Pitt as Kevin Nash

From the trailer, Pitt's Kevin Nash can be best described as a confident, strapping gangster progeny who looks to commit one heck of a robbery before the transmission. He's got the knowledge of how things work and he plans to use that to get rich. The 39-year-old actor and musician is best known for playing Henry Parker in the teen drama 'Dawson's Creek' and Jimmy Darmody in the HBO series 'Boardwalk Empire.'
