The bakers failed the chocolate round in the latest episode of 'The Great British Baking Show'. While some made sponges, others served raw batter. In a nutshell, it was an epic fail. However, judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith were not disappointed and they, in fact, seemed excited to try out the different batches the participants made. But as per norm, one contestant had to be eliminated and it was Sura's time to leave in this week's episode of 'The Great British Baking Show.'

Interestingly, Lottie was in the same league as Sura and they had both failed the technical aspect of it because both of them whipped up batches of raw brownie batter. Lottie even admitted to her Brownie being soaked in freezer liquid. However, Paul picked Sura for elimination knowing fully well that Lottie too made a similar mistake. But she wasn't drowning in sorrow for having to leave the iconic tent. "What's done is done, I'm not gonna be bitter about it. I had a great time," Sura said.

This sparked quite a furor on social media where fans called Paul out for favoring Lottie over Sura. Some even pointed out that he fancies her and therefore, wouldn't send her home come what may.

"Lottie could serve Paul Hollywood a fresh turd and he still wouldn’t send her home #GBBO," a fan commented, another shared: "Still thinking about Paul Hollywood looking at Lottie's babka and saying 'this drop in the middle is because of the way the chocolate has been mixed in' when it had a drop in the middle because the dough was overlapping the side of the tin. #gbbo."

"@BritishBakeOff Could Paul Hollywood not fancy lottie any more than he does already? Can we not get a year where there isn't a girl/female in there that Paul doesn't fancy and doesn't get so many chances?? Getting bit boring with it now! #GBBO," a user tweeted, another posted: "I adore Lottie however let's just acknowledge that she's had an appalling week but as she's young and pretty there's no way Paul Hollywood will send her home this week. #GBBO."
