‘The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.: Reawakened’: Release, plot, cast, trailer, and everything else about Netflix’s new anime series
Netflix is providing a platform for the release of a new Anime show, based on Shuichi Aso’s Japanese manga series ‘The Disastrous Life of Saiki K’. Labeled under the Netflix original series slate, ‘The Disastrous Life of Saiki K: Reawakened’ was first announced at the AnimeJapan 2019 in March. However, it still isn’t clear as to whether Netflix would adapt the chapters not covered in the earlier seasons or make it an anime-original.
Release Date
All the six episodes of ‘The Disastrous Life of Saiki K: Reawakened’ will be available on Netflix on December, 30.
Plot
‘The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. Reawakened’ deals with Saiki Kusuo, a 16-year-old school going teenager. Everything about him and his life seems normal, except for a few psychic powers he holds within. However, the powers don’t always work in his favor. The series follows his life and the onus of possessing powers that could either make or break him.
Cast
Kohsuke Toriumi
Japanese voice actor Kohsuke Toriumi will be making an appearance in ‘The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. Reawakened’ as Takumi Iguchi. He has provided vocals for numerous Anime shows and movies. ‘One-Punch Man 2’, ‘Ensemble Stars!’, ‘The Rising of the Shield Hero’ and ‘Endro!’ are some of his latest series he has worked on.
Nao Toyama
Nao Toyama will be voicing Hii Suzumiya in ‘The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. Reawakened’. The Japanese voice actress and singer is best known for working in Anime series such as ‘The World God Only Knows’, Nisekoi’ and ‘Laid-Back Camp’.

The series is being produced by EGG FIRM and J.C. Staff. EGG firm boasts a range of Anime productions, including ‘Sword Art Online: Alicization’, ‘Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online’ and ‘No Guns Life’
Trailer
The official trailer for ‘The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.: Reawakened’ was released by Netflix two weeks ago. The one-and-half-minute long video, Saiki is seen ranting about his psychic powers and the immense trouble it has gotten him into. The trailer also briefly introduces all the characters, comprising Saiki’s family, friends, love interest and his high eerie school teacher.
