Netflix dropped the trailer of 'The Devil All The Time', starring Robert Pattinson and Tom Holland a couple of hours ago and fans can't stop talking about it. This unusual goth thriller tells the tale of an orphan named Arvin Eugene Russell (Holland) and examines the pysche of various adversely-affected characters between the end of World War II and the 1960s. In the beginning of the trailer, Arvin receives a gun as a gift, that his father brought back from the war. From then on, the trailer is interspersed with scenes of violence, as well as religious services. There's a sinful preacher, played by Pattinson, who he goes up against, among many things in the trailer.

'The Devil All The Time' is based on Donald Ray Pollock’s book of the same name and is directed by Antonio Campos, known for his work on 2012’s “Simon Killer.” Holland told Entertainment Weekly that he was excited to take on this role: “I was really eager to work with Antonio because his previous films that I’ve seen are very raw. I guess it was the challenge of doing a different accent, playing the rural kid, a period film, a new director. Everything ticked the boxes for me.”

It's going to be a rather startling change to see Holland take on this dark role in such a grim film, as most of us, are pretty used to his childlike innocence in the Marvel's 'Spider-Man' films. Of course, his crime-drama film 'Cherry' proves that he is ready to break out of the image. Oh, and we get to hear his attempt at a Southern accent too.

Fans are quite eager to see him embrace his dark side. "OKAY FIRST OF ALL, @TomHolland1996 CAN AND WILL KILL ANY ROLE THROWN AT HIM. Second of all, ROBERT PATTISON AND TOM HOLLAND ?!! THIRD, this looks freaking NUTSSS!! I can not wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" wrote an excited fan.

“You changed”– bro the devil all the time is about to be released and we’re seeing a completely different side of acting from tom holland," said one eager to see the actor's new role.

"Tom Holland really didnt have to snap on us like this. You're talented and fine as hell WE GET IT. But also please continue. Thxs," another wrote.

"This looks like it's going to be amazing. Tom Holland showing in just this brief trailer that he's a lot more to give us than just being Spider-Man," another tweeted.

"Folks watching The Devil All the Time trailer like, ‘wow, Tom Holland’s a really good actor.’ But the thing is, he’s always been a really good actor," said one fan.

The film also stars Sebastian Stan, Bill Skarsgard, Riley Keough, Mia Wasikowska, Jason Clarke, Haley Bennett, Eliza Scanlen, Harry Melling and Pokey LaFarge. It will release on September 16 on Netflix.
